Concrete forming, shoring and chemical systems
If I've never used Symons products before, how will I know how to use them?
Application Guides are available for most forming systems. These guides provide step-by-step directions, technical and safety information. When you place your order, just ask your Symons representative to send you one. Many forming systems also have parts identification charts and safety charts or instructional videos that have other important information. In addition, your Symons representative is able to provide on-site instruction, if necessary.
How many concrete forming systems does Symons make for residential construction?
We have three forming systems that are used in residential foundation (basement) forming: Resi-Ply™, Steel-Ply®, and Symons Silver™.
Does Symons have systems for paving and slabs on grade?
Flatwork contractors would be interested in Street Smart™ equipment for residential curbs and gutters, industrial slab forming and highway paving applications. If decorative flatwork is desired, consider Design-Crete™ for coloring and stamping fresh concrete, and Spray-Rite™ for adding color and texture to existing concrete.
Does Symons have any products for decorative concrete?
Symons has a variety of systems that provide color and/or texture to produce a decorative concrete finish. Form liners for walls, coloring agents, stamps and more are available! See the Answers to Questions about decorative concrete page for more information.
What systems does Symons have for bridge building?
Symons offers Max-A-Form® which is ideal for bridge pier caps and plate girder applications. In addition, Symons has systems for paving, median barrier forming and column forming. Contact your Symons representative for further information.
What systems are used for slab-above-grade concrete construction?
Several concrete forming systems are specially geared to the needs of the mid-rise and high-rise building market. Room Tunnel provides one room per day, per form maximum forming productivity. It is ideal for repetitive room designs. Sky-Lift™ climbing framework enables setting, stripping and cleaning of shear wall formwork with minimum crane time. The Flying Truss System and Roller Deck systems reduce labor on multi-level deck slabs. Symons also offers several shoring systems
Does Symons have form liners?
Symons manufactures several kinds of form liners to suit every contractor's needs. Types include SPS™ Plastic, ABS Plastic, Dura-Tex® and Elasto-Tex®. Each type comes in a variety of textures, including many woodgrain, ribbed, fractured, stone, brick, and other designs, including rustication strips and custom designs. What about chemicals?
Symons line of chemicals is always expanding. Concrete stamping, construction or repair... we carry the chemicals and equipment that you need. Our chemical product line includes form releases, curing compounds, cure and seals, acrylic sealers, water repellents, and liquid hardeners. We offer a wide variety of bonding agents, non-shrink construction grouts, patching materials (repair mortars), shake-on hardeners, self-levelling underlayments, gel anchors, binders and bonders to enhance performance or correct concrete problems. Symons has the largest line of concrete construction epoxies, including grouts, injection resins, coatings, concrete bonders, joint fillers and polyurea. These resin-based products are designed to correct concrete problems and protect concrete surfaces.
I want to be sure of my formwork costs before I bid a big job. Can Symons help out during the pre-bid stage?
We often help contractors during the pre-bid stages to make a viable forming plan. We can supply detailed drawings, parts lists, forming and stripping sequences, etc. Contact your Symons representative for further information.
Can I rent forms?
Many of Symons products are rentable. Components that contractors might use rarely or extra equipment to fill in on a large job are typically handled through rentals. Are Symons systems compatible with other systems?

Because Symons has tens of thousands of products, it is currently not possible to order on-line.
